With the European Cricket Ground approved, early works are now underway at the stadium site. Campo Maximo Resort is progressing through a separate approval process and awaits final approval.
Over the next few years, the two sites will be developed as one connected destination for year-round cricket, premium hospitality and unforgettable experiences on Spain’s coast.

Early enabling works are underway at the European Cricket Ground site, including site preparation, clearing and earthworks.
These works are preparing the site for the next stage of development. We will continue to share updates as construction progresses.
The European Cricket Ground (Campo Maximo Stadium) has received a building licence for a sports installation.
Campo Maximo Resort is progressing through a separate approval process and is currently awaiting its final building licence from the Ayuntamiento de Orihuela. Work on the resort will not commence until this approval has been received.
Residents may notice truck movements, dust, noise and some temporary disruption associated with normal construction activity.
We understand that construction can affect those living and working nearby, and we sincerely appreciate the community’s patience while the project takes shape. The Campo Maximo team is committed to minimising disruption as much as possible and managing site safety, dust, noise, traffic and access responsibly. We will share further information as construction arrangements for main works are confirmed.

Yes. Campo Maximo is expected to create opportunities through construction and, over time, through hospitality, events, tourism and the operation of the stadium and resort.
Wherever possible, our preference is to employ locally and work with businesses, suppliers, producers and service providers from Orihuela Costa and the surrounding region.
